New York Cannibal Arrested in the Big Apple

Gilberto Valle III of Forest Hills was responsible for enforcing the law in the city of Manhattan. He was a part of the privileged NYPD force, which fights crime throughout one of America’s greatest cities. So you can imagine the shock of all of Valle’s partners when they discovered that this police officer was a closet cannibal who wanted to consume at least 100 women. Valle was only charged with one count of conspiracy to commit kidnapping, but his arrest brought on an investigation that discovered he was planning to commit a host of crimes in the future. Valle wanted to kidnap, cook, and eat as many as 100 women for entertainment.

ABC News reports that the man exchanged messages with a coconspirator who was going to help him kidnap and cook his first victim. The police officer texted and e-mailed with his partner about plans to kidnap a woman, rape her, torture her and then kill her. He then planned to cook and eat body parts of the women that he attacked. There were computer files containing at least one photo of each of Valle’s targeted victims. As a police officer, Valle had the right to access databases, and used these confidential databases to conduct surveillance on the women he planned to attack.

In one online message, the criminal surmised that he could tie his victim to a post and roast her over fire, “keeping her alive as long as possible.” The co=conspirator then talked about how they could preserve the body for food, and the tow joked about how the victim had no idea what was in store for her the next day. A co-conspirator asked Valle how big the oven at his home was, and he responded that it was large enough to fit some of the girls if they folded their legs.

This cryptic display of vulgarity was punished, but Valle now argues that he was only joking and had no intention of actually carrying out the threats. If you have been misunderstood and arrested for criminal actions that you never intended to carry out, then you need to contact a criminal defense lawyer in the New York area.
